Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Rural Radar ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use the App on your Shopify store. The App is provided by Noxbridge Limited, 28 Harrison Road, Mount Wellington, Auckland, AUK, 1060, New Zealand.

1. Information we collect

When a merchant installs the App, we receive information from Shopify about the store, including the shop domain, store owner contact email, and the OAuth access tokens required to call Shopify APIs on the merchant's behalf.

When a buyer reaches the checkout of a store that has the App installed, the App's checkout extension reads the buyer's shipping country and postal code from the checkout in order to determine whether the address falls within a carrier's remote-area list. The country and postal code are sent to our lookup service solely to return a remote / not-remote result.

We do not collect buyer names, email addresses, phone numbers, full street addresses, payment information, or any other personally identifying information.

2. How we use information

• To return remote-area lookup results so the App can adjust the delivery methods shown at checkout.
• To provide, maintain, and improve the App, including diagnosing issues and monitoring service health.
• To communicate with merchants about the App, including support requests and important service notices.

3. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or buyer information. We may share information with infrastructure providers strictly as needed to operate the App (for example, hosting and database providers), and when required by law.

4. Data retention

Lookup requests may be logged in aggregate for operational and debugging purposes and are retained for no longer than 90 days. Merchant configuration data is retained for as long as the App is installed on the store and is deleted on uninstall, or upon request.

5. Data deletion and GDPR

The App responds to Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks, including customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure. Because the App does not store buyer-identifying data, customer erasure requests are acknowledged without further action. Merchants can also request deletion of their configuration data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

7. Cookies and tracking

The App's embedded admin interface uses only cookies strictly necessary for authentication with Shopify. The checkout extension does not set cookies or run third-party analytics on the buyer's browser.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to merchants through the App or via email.
